Hello! I’m Chris

* I will be relocating permanently from Philadelphia to Rhode Island in May 2017

In 2013 I relocated from Boston to Philadelphia where my partner matched for her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital. You might be on the hunt for a Photographer/Videographer/Audio Editor. I do amazing things with colors, textures, sound, video, and light. I specialize in intensive photo editing, retouching, video editing, audio production, print, and vintage styled art direction.

I’ve been covered in:

// LifeHacker
// ApartmentTherapy (twice!)
// PrintBench // CardFaves // DailyCandy

Skills in:

  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Dreamweaver
  • Ableton Live & related audio editing software
  • Sketchup 3D
  • WordPress
  • Final Cut Pro
  • Microsoft Office
  • FTP & online file management
  • Interior Lighting design
  • Woodworking & Repurposing
While in Boston I got my start as a layout designer in a local print/design/direct marketing business which was geared specifically toward the Real Estate market. There I learned how to balance technique, simplicity and style in a seasonally fast-paced work environment. In 2008 I had the good fortune of turning one of my hobbies– lighting design integrating my original art & photography– into a viable business, creating custom projects for various movie & television productions, as well as selling my work online and through various shops around the country. Even with the success of this business I still felt compelled to grow my skill set in more of a team-based graphic design environment. From here my career wove deeper into the digital printing & screenprinting industry as both a hands-on printer and graphic designer responsible for creating intricate color separations and original artwork for varying clients ranging from local bands to non-profits to universities. Eventually I grew into an Art Director, in charge of an ever-growing state of the art Digital Print division where I successfully ensured color-matching, sizing, and layout placement, and managed the general production across all departments to meet the expectations of our clients.

In addition to holding positions as a graphic designer and Art Director, I work independently as a freelancer, handling a variety of projects for a wide range of clients. I’ve maintained a consistently high standard for myself that occasionally and excitingly requires me to push outside of my comfort zone. I enjoy learning new techniques, and approach that process with an intense focus and passion that I know is evident in the final product.

Notable projects / responsibilities:

  • Ox Bow Decor // Principal Designer, Illustrator
  • Natural Cloud Cover by Mish Michaels // Principal Designer, Layout, Branding & Identity
  • QRST’s | Live at the Rat // Art Direction, Layout, Web Management
  • Warner Bros. | Feature Film The Town // Lighting Design, set dressing
  • AMC | TV Miniseries Rubicon // Lighting Design, set dressing
  • Showtime | TV series Nurse Jackie // Lighting Design, set dressing

In addition to my resume & portfolio I am backed by excellent personal and professional references, which I will be happy to provide at your request.
